All senior consultants at the practice have worked at the Big 4 international audit firms and are adequately trained in their respective fields of expertise and have had superb professional exposure. We believe in adding value to our clients.

The practice also has a strong network of experienced contractors available to draw on where necessary.

Profile                        
Arshad Ameer has been in the Audit, Accounting and Tax as well as Business Advisory sectors for a significant time, commencing in 1998. In his career he has worked in most spheres within the Accounting profession.

In 1995 he joined a major local bank FNB and progressed very rapidly through their ranks in various roles within the commercial bank.

He then joined a medium sized black chartered accounting firm in 1998, Mohamedy and Manjee Chartered Accountants (Which is now incorporated into Nkonki Chartered Accountants), as an Accounting trainee and progressed to a senior Auditor. He joined another medium sized firm of Chartered Accountants in 2000, Graham and Barry Co. Chartered Accountants (Which is now incorporated into Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants) to complete his 3 year training contract as required by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in order to complete the CA qualification.

In 2003 after having completed his chartered accountant training contract he joined the largest black owned CA audit firm in SA,  Sizwe Ntsaluba VSP (Which is now incorporated into Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo), as an audit supervisor on a short term contract in their Johannesburg office.

Later in 2003 he joined SA’s largest international (Big 4) Chartered Accountant firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers in  their Johannesburg office in their Corporate Tax division to gain specialised tax exposure.

In 2005 he joined a medium sized tax and accounting practice in Houghton, Jhb, Equity Tax and Management Services, as a partner designate.

Thereafter in order to gain more public sector exposure he joined a medium sized black chartered accounting firm, OMA Chartered Accountants, based in Pretoria which specialised in public sector audit services under the auspices of the Auditor General’s office in Gauteng and North West Province.

In mid 2006 he joined another of SA’s large (Big 4) international Chartered Accounting firms, Ernst and Young initially in their Johannesburg office and thereafter in their Durban offices, in their tax division as a Tax consultant.

In 2009 he formed AA Financial Consultants which incorporates AA Tax and Accounting Services as well as Ameer Tax (a niche tax practice)

Arshad also lectured on a contract basis at DUT and Varsity College KZN (from 2009 to 2011) in commerce and other related Subjects .

Demographics and Employment Equity policies

Our network mainly comprises specialists from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and we strongly support EE initiatives in all facets of our employment structures. We are currently 100% BBBEE.
